McKinney beat fellow contestants Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady and Zhavia to win a record deal with Republic Records. She celebrated the achievement on Instagram, calling herself "so blessed."

"I won, y'all. I brought the heat, y'all," the singer wrote. "I wanted this for so long! #thefouronfox."

Deadline reported The Four is Fox's highest-rated new unscripted series in nearly four years. The show is hosted by Fergie, with Diddy, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor as judges.

"The Four is truly a next-generation show," Fox president of alternative series and specials Rob Wade said. "It has pushed past the boundaries of traditional music competition series by focusing on recording artists in an epic battle to become a superstar."

"We'd like to thank our panel, our ringleader, Fergie, the contestants and our incredible production team for delivering concert-quality shows every week. And we look forward to pushing the boundaries even further in Season Two," he added.
