Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Joseph Duggar and his wife are expecting a baby boy.
The 23-year-old Jill & Jessa: Counting On star and wife Kendra Caldwell announced their unborn baby's sex in a blog post on the Duggar family website Saturday.
"Wow! We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy! Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy!" the couple wrote. "Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ."
Kendra confirmed the news on her personal Instagram account. She shared a photo of herself and Joseph posing with a blue smoke bomb going off in the background.
"We're having a son! I'm especially excited to develop a mother son relationship with my little man. We're so excited to step into this new stage in life. Pray for us for a safe delivery and healthy baby. #itsaboy #babyDuggar," she wrote.
Joseph's sister Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, were among those to congratulate the couple in a video message. Jessa and Ben are parents to two sons, 2-year-old Spurgeon and 1-year-old Henry.
"We're happy for you guys! Spurgeon and Henry can have someone else to wrestle with," Ben said.
Joseph and Kendra announced in December they're expecting their first child. The couple married in September after getting engaged at Joy Anna Duggar's wedding in May.
