'General Hospital' alum Vanessa Marcil expecting daughter

Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil is expecting a daughter.

The 49-year-old actress, who played Brenda Barrett on the ABC soap opera, announced in an Instagram post that she's pregnant with a baby girl.

Marcil shared a cute photo of her puppy Rocky snuggling up to her baby bump. The star already shares 15-year-old son Kassius with Brian Austin Green, and is expecting with her fiance, whom she refers to as "MC."

"The GIRLS," she captioned the picture with her dog, adding a winking emoji.

Marcil announced her pregnancy in a post in November, saying she was expecting again after having six miscarriages.

"It's baby time. After 6 miscarriages we are saying prayers for OPM #MadHappy," she wrote, referencing "Our Precious Miracle."

Marcil, who is also known for playing Sam Marquez, on Las Vegas, announced her engagement to her fiance in April 2015. She shared a family photo with her fiance and son ahead of New Year's Eve in December.

"Happy New Year soon from the Marcil-Martins," the actress wrote.
