'Veep' star Reid Scott welcomes second son

Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Veep star Reid Scott is a dad of two.

The 40-year-old actor's rep confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Scott's wife, Elspeth Keller, gave birth to a baby boy Thursday, Jan. 4.

People reported Scott and Keller named their son Damon Leif. The couple already share 2-year-old son Conrad, and confirmed in August that they were expecting another child.

"We're very excited," Reid said at the time. "We're having another little boy."

"We're excited to make a little brother for our son," he added. "He's going to be a great big brother. If he doesn't kill his little brother within the first six weeks, then we're going to be great."

Scott and Keller married in Los Angeles in June 2014, and welcomed Conrad the next year. The actor plays Dan Egan on Veep, which postponed production on its seventh and final season in November amid star Julia Louis-Dreyfus' battle with cancer.

"I can tell you that Julia is undergoing treatment for breast cancer and we're obviously postponing production of the show," executive producer Frank Rich said on the Press Pool. "She's a very strong person and we can't wait to welcome her back at full speed."
