Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Kim Kardashian says her son was hospitalized after falling ill with pneumonia.

The 37-year-old reality star said in an Instagram post Tuesday that Saint West, her 2-year-old son with husband Kanye West, is at home and "all better" after spending three nights in the hospital.

"My precious baby boy is so strong! After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV's and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging. Pneumonia is so scary," Kardashian captioned a photo of herself with Saint.

"I just want to thank every nurse & doctor out there who works so hard around the clock. We are so grateful for you all!" she added. "He's home and all better. He's so resilient I'm sure he will still say the ambulance ride was cool! My strong Saint."

TMZ reported Saint was released Saturday after being rushed to an L.A. area hospital Thursday. Sources said Kardashian and West shared overnight duties during their son's stay in the hospital.

Kardashian and West also share 4-year-old daughter North West. The reality star shared a family portrait with West and their two children Friday amid Saint's hospitalization.

"Happy Holidays," she captioned the picture.
