Dec. 26 (UPI) -- John Cena returned and new Tag Team Champions were crowned Monday during a special Christmas edition of Raw.

Cena, who was last seen in November at Survivor Series, kicked off the night and proceeded to give his shirt to a young fan in attendance before he was interrupted by WWE's resident musician, Elias.

Elias, with encouragement from Cena, then gave one of his in-ring performances with his guitar where he started to poke fun at Chicago, the city where Raw was taking place.

Cena, after too many digs towards the Windy City, demanded that Elias start over without any insults. As a second performance was underway, Elias attacked Cena and challenged him to a match which was sanctioned by Raw general manager Kurt Angle.

Elias, seemingly aware that he was given a special opportunity to face a 16-time World Champion, brought the fight to Cena and escaped a number of his signature moves including his Five-Knuckle Shuffle and the STF.

Cena put Elias down for the three count, however, after he delivered an Attitude Adjustment to the singer.

In the main event, Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro defended their titles against the unlikely duo of Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan. Rollins was without his usual partner and fellow Shield member Dean Ambrose after he was seen being attacked last week by Sheamus, Cesaro and Samoa Joe.

The highly-competitive match reached a turning point when Rollins took Sheamus out by throwing him into the steel steps. This allowed Jordan to take on Cesaro alone and deliver an Angle Slam-neckbreaker hybrid to The Swiss Superman to win the Tag Team Championships.

Also on the last Raw of 2017, Roman Reigns defended his Intercontinental Championship against Joe which ended with Joe winning by disqualification after The Big Dog would not stop assulating his opponent in the corner. Reigns continued to attack Joe following the match before he escaped.

Other moments from the night included Hideo Itami defeating The Brian Kendrick; Absolution defeating Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James; Kane defeating Heath Slater; Finn Balor defeating Curt Hawkins; Woken Matt Hardy attacking Bray Wyatt; Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Akira Tozawa defeating Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari; Asuka declaring herself for the Women's Royal Rumble Match; and Braun Strowman defeating The Miztourage in a Secret Santa Match.
