Brit Marling says Season 2 of 'The OA' will begin filming next month

Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Brit Marling has announced via Twitter that filming will begin next month on Season 2 of her Netflix mystery drama The OA.

Marling co-created and acts in the sci-fi series, which debuted in December 2016. Co-starring Scott Wilson, Phyllis Smith and Jason Isaacs, the show is about a young woman who mysteriously returns after vanishing for several years.

"Excited and terrified by the road map of these 8 scripts, which took us all summer and fall to write. Shooting Part II of @The_OA starts Jan 2018. Here goes something..." Marling tweeted Saturday.
