Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Netflix confirmed it has ordered a third season of Frontier, its drama about the 18th century, North American fur trade. Six, fresh episodes are expected to be available for streaming in 2018.
Created by Rob and Peter Blackie, the series casts Justice League and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa as Declan Harp, "a part-Irish, part-native American outlaw campaigning to breach the fur trade," a synopsis said.
"Get ready for War...Season 3!!! Thank you so much to @netflix @discoverycanada @peytonology @jfierson @petercblackie @asapentertainment #taketheshot #Newfoundland #Scottland," Momoa captioned a brief Instagram video Thursday. "Cheeeeehooooooooooo. Aloha."
The clip shows Momoa announcing the renewal and revealing he will direct, as well as star in, some of the episodes.
The show's ensemble includes Landon Liboiron, Alun Armstrong, Zoe Boyle, Jessica Matten, Allan Hawco and Katie McGrath.
