Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Camille Grammer says she was recently diagnosed with cancer for a second time.

The 49-year-old television personality told fans in an Instagram post Thursday that she is recovering after undergoing surgery for squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.

"Thank you Dr. Beth karlan for removing those pesky cancer cells. You are Amazing!" Grammer captioned a photo with her doctor.

"This is my second cancer diagnoses," she confirmed. "Thank God We found it early. (squamous cell carcinoma) *Early detection is key. My cancer was removed and I'm resting at home. Ladies listen to your bodies. If something doesn't seem right go for a checkup. Don't put it off. Annual checkups are important."

Grammer previously underwent a radical hysterectomy after being diagnosed with Stage 2 endometrial cancer in 2013. She told Bravo's The Daily Dish in September 2016 that she was "feeling much better" following the ordeal.

"Every year, it gets better. I'm in remission," the star said. "So far my tests have been coming out really good. So keeping my fingers crossed."

"Right now I'm just working to promote awareness," she added. "Early detection is key and if I can help anybody, just one person, it means the world."

Grammer, who shares 16-year-old daughter Mason and 13-year-old son Jude with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer, came to fame on the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She will appear as a friend on the show's upcoming eighth season.
