Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Giants Braun Strowman and Kane collided Monday on Raw to determine who would get to challenge Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship.

The match also served as the latest entry in the rivalry between the two giants that started in October at TLC .

The ring-shattering match included three Chokeslams -- two from Kane and one from Strowman -- that were unable to stop either man.

Strowman and Kane's battle then spilled over to the outside the ring and later into the audience before the Monster Among Men violently plowed Kane right through a barricade. The ensuing brawl, however, took up too much time as the referee reached a count of 10, ending the match in a double count out.

The fight would continue on, despite the final bell ringing, and Strowman ended the night by planting Kane through a table with a Running Powerslam.

Lesnar will be present next week on Raw where he and his advocate Paul Heyman will address who his future opponent will be at the upcoming Royal Rumble event.

Also on Raw, Intercontinental champion Roman Reigns continued his open challenge for his title and defended it against Raw Tag Team Champion Cesaro. The match took place after Cesaro, and his partner Sheamus, helped Samoa Joe beat down The Shield in the opening moments of the show.

The Swiss Cyborg brought the fight to Reigns as he concentrated on The Big Dog's arm to take out his use of his patent Superman Punch.

Cesaro appeared to have the match won at one point after he countered Reigns' Spear and then delivered an impressive uppercut followed by locking in the Crossface submission hold in the middle of the ring.

Reigns was able to survive the onslaught, however, and would later endure more uppercuts before he put Cesaro down for the three count with a Spear.

Other moments from Raw included Paige and Mandy Rose defeating Bayley and Mickie James; Woken Matt Hardy having another war of words with Bray Wyatt; Finn Balor defeating Curtis Axel; Seth Rollins defeating Sheamus; Cedric Alexander defeating Mustafa Ali, Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari; Joe defeating Ambrose; and Paige's crew Absolution, attacking Asuka until the rest of Raw's Women's Division came to her aid.
