TVLine.com reported Estelle Parsons will also be back as Roseanne and Jackie's mother Beverly.

The casting news comes about a week after it was revealed Johnny Galecki will reprise his role as David on the show.

The Emmy-winning series about a working-class Illinois family initially ran from 1988-97.

It starred Roseanne Barr as Roseanne, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie, John Goodman as Dan, Sara Gilbert as Darlene, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke alternating in the role of Becky and Michael Fishman as D.J. All of the original show's stars have returned for the upcoming, fresh run of episodes.
