Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni enjoyed a "happy" reunion Thursday ahead of the holidays.
The 53-year-old actress shared a photo with her former Law & Order: SVU co-star on Instagram after running into the 56-year-old actor.
"'Tis the season... ran into this #HAPPY man," she captioned the picture.
The snapshot gives a blurry look of a smiling Hargitay and Meloni. The actor posted a clearer picture on his own account.
"Friends #Seehappy #jingleHells," he wrote.
Hargitay and Meloni didn't provide further details about their reunion, although the actor appeared to be celebrating his SyFy show, Happy!, with his cast mates. The series stars Meloni as a hitman who can see a little girl's imaginary friend.
"I'm a disgraced detective who now makes his money as a hitman," he said on Wednesday's episode of Today. "In the middle of a job, I have a heart attack. I wake up and I see this little, blue, flying unicorn in front of my face ... He's been sent to find me so that I can save this little girl."
Hargitay and Meloni co-starred as Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU. Meloni left the police procedural in 2011 after 12 seasons, while Hargitay continues to star on the NBC show.
