Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Justin Timberlake stopped by the Late Show this week to team up with host Stephen Colbert for the latest edition of the show's Big Questions with Even Bigger Star segment.

Timberlake, during a skit that involves Colbert asking celebrities mock-philosophical questions, explained the origin behind his 2006 hit single, "SexyBack." Timberlake joked that the song was about a neighbor's rabbit named Sexy that he was taking care of.

"They were worried I wouldn't return the rabbit, so I wanted to assure them, via song, that I was indeed, bringing sexy back," Timberlake said. "If you listen closely, it's all in the lyrics."

Other moments from Timberlake's Late Show appearance included the pop star and Colbert harmonizing the national anthem and Timberlake explaining why church is the best place to practice singing.

Colbert also asked Timberlake about his plans to headline the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. Timberlake paused before alluding to his appearance during the controversial 2004 Super Bowl performance with pop star Janet Jackson.

"Apparently a lot of people watch the Super Bowl ... I have learned that a lot of people watch the Super Bowl," Timberlake said.
