'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams' gets Amazon premiere date

Nov. 20 (UPI) -- The sci-fi anthology series Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams is scheduled to premiere Jan. 12 on Amazon Prime Video.

"We're excited to share the fantastical world of [the late author] Philip K. Dick as it's never been experienced before," Brad Beale, vice president of worldwide television content acquisition for Amazon Prime Video, said in a statement Monday. "With the combined creative genius behind this series, as well as the stellar cast and visually compelling locations, every episode of this sci-fi anthology is sure to be an entertaining experience for our Prime members."

The first season will consist of 10 standalone episodes. Featured on the show are Steve Buscemi, Bryan Cranston, Greg Kinnear, Maura Tierney, Janelle Monáe, Mireille Enos, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Liam Cunningham, Richard Madden, Holliday Grainger, Mel Rodriguez, Vera Farmiga, Jack Reynor, Essie Davis, Benedict Wong, Geraldine Chaplin, Juno Temple and David Lyons.
