Suits is in its seventh season and will return from mid-season break in January. The legal drama, which co-stars Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty, has yet to announce Season 8 but is expected to be renewed.

"[Patrick] was always leaving the show," a source told Us Weekly. "He made up his mind a while ago."

"Patrick wants to sursue other things and he's realized his time at Suits has come to an end," the insider explained. "They were waiting for Gabriel Macht to sign. He's going back so there will be a Season 8 and as of now, 9."

Adams and Markle's characters are expected to marry before the actors' departures. Us Weekly previously reported Markle's future with the series was uncertain due to her high-profile romance with British royal Prince Harry.

"Everyone already thinks she's not coming back," a source said in September.
