WWE to celebrate 25th anniversary of Raw with Undertaker, Shawn Michaels

Oct. 31 (UPI) -- WWE has announced plans to host a special 25th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw in January that will feature the return of legends such as The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

The event will take place Jan. 22 at both the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Manhattan Center in New York where the first Raw took place.

Both arenas will feature matches, Superstars from both Raw and Smackdown and returning WWE legends such as Kevin Nash who will be joining The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

Tickets for the event which include VIP packages and meet-and-greets with WWE legends, will be available for purchase on Nov. 3 through Ticketmaster.

"We look forward to celebrating this unmatched milestone with our fans around the world, but 25 years only marks the beginning of WWE surprising, delighting and entertaining generations to come," WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon said in a statement.

The Undertaker was last seen at WrestleMania 33 in April where he was seemingly retired by Roman Reigns in the main event.

WWE has been sharing classic moments from Raw on YouTube including the long-running programs first main event between The Undertaker and Damien Demento on Jan. 11, 1993.
