Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A number of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will be hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live in Kimmel's absence.

Kimmel will be absent from his late night show throughout the week as his son's heart surgery was delayed due to a cold.

"As a precautionary measure, the scheduled second heart surgery for Jimmy Kimmel's son Billy had to be postponed this week due to the common cold," a representative for the show said Monday. "Jimmy is very grateful to Shaquille O'Neal, Dave Grohl, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Lawrence for filling his very small shoes as guest host this week while he, his wife and children sneeze on each other."

Former NBA star and current announcer Shaquille O'Neal filled in for Kimmel Monday where he welcomed guests Mila Kunis and Aisha Tyler with a musical performance by Dolla $ featuring YG.

On Tuesday, Grohl will host guests Kristen Bell and Alice Cooper, who will be performing. Tatum will be meeting with Ellen DeGeneres and musical guest Pink on Wednesday.
