Variety reported the series is currently in production and its last episodes are scheduled to air in 2018.

The Hollywood Reporter also ran a story about the show's cancellation Monday, just hours after its star Kevin Spacey tweeted an apology for sexually harassing Anthony Rapp at a party more than three decades ago when the Star Trek: Discovery actor was 14.

In a lengthy statement he tweeted to his followers, Spacey said he did not remember the incident Rapp described, but didn't deny it and suggested he may have been inebriated when he carried Rapp to his bed and climbed on top of him. In the same post, Spacey also confirmed for the first time that he is gay.

Rapp told BuzzFeed over the weekend about his experience with Spacey because he was inspired by the many women who have come forward in recent weeks to report sexual harassment and abuse in the entertainment industry.
