Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Maskim Chmerkovksiy says there's no feud with Dancing with the Stars partner Vanessa Lachey.
The 37-year-old professional dancer told reporters Saturday at the Maxim Halloween party that his relationship was Lachey has "never" been bad during Season 25 of the ABC reality competition.
"What drama?" Chmerkovskiy said, according to Us Weekly. "[Things] were never bad. They were great things. It's been a great season."
"It's a tough show," he confessed. "Everybody's going through a little bit of a menial lifetime through this whole process, and when you're good enough to make it all the way, you go through that much more stuff. We're a great couple. We're doing our best."
Lachey also downplayed her rumored conflict with Chmerkovskiy while attending the Baby Ball Gala the same day.
"It's a pebble in the pond," the 36-year-old television personality told Us Weekly. "Everything is great. And honestly, I kind of giggle at it!"
People reported "a big chemistry issue" between Chmerkovskiy and Lachey after the dancer skipped the Oct. 2 episode due to a "personal issue," but was later seen at dinner with his family. Chmerkovskiy subsequently apologized to Lachey.
"I take full responsibility for my absence and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa," he tweeted Oct. 4.
