Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Kill Bill co-stars Vivica A. Fox and Michael Madsen say they were happy to reunite for the new animated web series Explosion Jones.

Executive produced by Robert Rodriguez, the action cartoon is now streaming at http://go90.show/ExplosionJones. Set in the 1980s, it follows a former special forces commando now working as a private detective and raising his bright, resourceful little girl after his wife dies. Fox plays Jones' dead spouse, Jaylen Barron voices his daughter and Carl Weathers portrays his best friend.

"She was tragically killed, so when things kind of go awry, she is like the voice of reason that comes to Explosion," Fox recently told UPI about her character at New York Comic Con. "It definitely was a Kill Bill reunion and it made me think if they do Kill Bill 3 that this is the way they should do it. My daughter should be the one who comes back and kicks Uma Thurman's butt. I'll be the little voice that pops up: 'Now, watch out, girlfriend, because she's got that knife. And let me tell you, don't go for the gun in the cereal box. It isn't going to work because she already knows that trick.'"

"They asked me who I was thinking of for my wife and I've seen her in a lot of stuff and I wanted her very much and I asked if they could get her and they did and I am so happy," Madsen said of Fox in a separate interview a few minutes later.
