Oct. 18 (UPI) -- The Irwin family says it has signed on to star in a new television docu-series in 2018.

"Crikey! So excited to announce that we are officially returning to @AnimalPlanet next year! We love the @DiscoveryComm family," Bindi Irwin tweeted, along with a brief announcement video featuring her mother Terri and brother Bob confirming the Animal Planet project, but not offering many details, such as its name, focus or exact debut date.

The Irwin family runs the Australia Zoo. They starred alongside Terri's husband Steve in the reality show The Crocodile Hunter, which initially aired from 1996 to 2007.

Steve died after he was pierced in the heart by a stingray barb when he was 44, and his wife and children have since carried on his wildlife conservation work. Bindi is a social-media sensation, who also competed on and won Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars.
