HGTV couple Ben and Erin Napier expecting first child

Oct. 17 (UPI) -- HGTV couple Ben and Erin Napier are going to be first-time parents.

Erin, 32, announced in a blog post Sunday that she's seven months pregnant with a baby girl after teasing the news on Instagram.

"@scotsman.co and I have a secret to tell you," she captioned a photo of herself with Ben. "photos: @brookecoledavis."

Erin said in her post that she learned she was pregnant on Mother's Day in May. She and Ben initially "resolved" to keep her pregnancy "secret because it felt too close and important to share."

"I am now almost 7 months pregnant, and it has been thankfully a healthy and easy pregnancy," the Home Town star wrote. "She's a girl and we will name her after my grandmother."

"My prayer for Helen is that she will be brave and kind," she added. "I pray that she will not be bullied the way I was, and that she will be a protector of the ones who are. I pray that she will learn that from her father, the protector who loves the people in his life so well."

Home Town follows Ben and Erin as they restore homes in the town of Laurel, Miss. The series premiered on HGTV in March, and will soon return for a second season.
