Disney Channel renews 'Raven's Home' for a second season

Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Disney Channel says it has ordered a second season of its family sitcom Raven's Home, starring and executive produced by Raven-Symoné.

The series features the actress and singer reprising her role as Raven Baxter from the teen comedy That's So Raven, which originally ran 2003-07.

Production on Season 2 of Raven's Home will resume in Hollywood next month, the cable network said. The show's ensemble also stars Issac Ryan Brown, Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, Sky Katz and Anneliese van der Pol.

"We are incredibly proud of our first season and the fact that Raven has returned home to Disney Channel in a very big way. The entire cast and crew have delivered a classic family sitcom that kids and families will be watching for many years to come," Adam Bonnett, executive vice president of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement.
