'Mr. Mercedes' renewed for a second season

Oct. 10 (UPI) -- AT&T Audience Network says it has renewed its serial-killer drama Mr. Mercedes for a second season.

"The Season Finale of #MrMercedesTV is tomorrow 8pm on @AudienceNetwork, but it's not over yet. Season 2 coming soon," the show's Twitter feed said Tuesday.

The series is adapted from a story by Stephen King. Season 1 starred Harry Treadaway, Brendan Gleeson, Mary-Louise Parker and Holland Taylor.

Deadline.com said David E. Kelley return to write the 10-episode, second season, with Jack Bender directing.
