'Downton Abbey' exhibition is coming to the United States

Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A traveling exhibition featuring set pieces, costumes and props from the British period drama Downton Abbey will soon debut in the United States.

"First stop New York City! Join the family and immerse yourself in your favorite show like never before. Experience the history, lavish costumes, iconic sets and never seen before content. For tickets and to learn more visit DowntonExhibition.com #DowntonExhibition," the show's social media accounts said Tuesday.

The exhibition will open at 218 W. 57th in New York on Nov. 18.

Created by Julian Fellowes, the series ran for six seasons from 2010 to 2015 on ITV in the United Kingdom and PBS in the United States. It followed a wealthy family and the staff who served them at their country estate during the early 20th century.

The cast included Michelle Dockery, Dan Stevens, Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Phyllis Logan, Tom Cullen, Sophie McShera, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle and Elizabeth McGovern.
