'Bachelor' star Nick Viall to appear on ABC's 'Speechless'

Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Bachelor star Nick Viall is set to make a guest appearance on ABC's scripted comedy series Speechless.

The former Bachelor will return to the network in a November episode of the half-hour comedy series starring Minnie Driver as Maya, the mother of teen with cerebral palsy named JJ, played by Micah Fowler, Deadline reported.

Viall will play an overly-serious B-movie actor who meets JJ on a film set and helps him get out of trouble by deceiving Maya and her husband Jimmy, played by John Ross Bowie, E! News reported.

Viall appeared on two seasons of The Bachelorette and a season of Bachelor in Paradise before returning as the star of season 21 of The Bachelor. He also competed on a season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Speechless airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.
