Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins teased the reformation of The Shield Monday on Raw to take on a new threat led by Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

The new threat made themselves known during The Miz's title match against Reigns that began with The Big Dog extracting revenge on the A-lister's Miztourage consisting of Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas before the bout could be started.

Using a chair to violently attack The Miztourage, Axel and Dallas were taken out of the equation so that Reigns and The Miz could have a fair fight.

A competitive bout, The Miz nearly won the match after he impressively reversed Reigns' Superman Punch into a Skull-Crushing Finale for a very close two count. After regaining his composure, Reigns was poised to put The Miz down and take his Intercontinental Championship with a Spear before Cesaro and Sheamus appeared to attack Reigns.

The former Tag Team Champions, also known as The Bar, then teamed up with The Miz to attack Reigns using their collection of finishing moves including Cesaro's Neutralizer and Sheamus' Brogue Kick. The villainous trio then mocked The Shield by performing the group's patent Triple Powerbomb onto Reigns before joining together for a Shield fist bump.

The attack on Reigns by Cesaro and Sheamus came after The Bar had laid waste earlier in the night to their rivals, the Raw Tag Team Champions Ambrose and Rollins following Rollins' match with Braun Strowman. It appears The Bar has now joined up with The Miz in order to conquer The Shield members collectively.

Before Raw went off the air, a battered Reigns was seen nursing his injuries backstage before he was joined by Ambrose and Rollins as they stood in silent agreement that something needs to be done. One of the most powerful and dominant groups in WWE history seems poised to return.

The ending of Raw also featured once again new Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore addressing the entire Cruiserweight division after he was attacked by former champion Neville and then the rest of the 205 Live roster following his Certified G coronation.

This time as the Cruiserweight division once again made their way to the ring following Amore's speech, the champ explained that if anyone touched him, they would be fired due to a new clause handed down by Raw general manager Kurt Angle.

Angle himself then appeared and announced that he had signed a new Superstar to the division, Kalisto, who was exempt from the clause. Kalisto then attacked Amore and finished him off with a Salida del Sol in the ring.

Other moments from Raw included Elias defeating Titus O'Neil; Mickie James defeating Nia Jax via disqualification after Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss got involved; Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeating Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan; Bray Wyatt teased that his mentor, the mysterious Sister Abigail is alive to Finn Balor; and Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Emma and Alicia Fox.

Notably, Raw began their show in Denver with a moment of silence for those lost in the recent Las Vegas shooting. The entire Raw roster was seen standing together on the entranceway with Angle and WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon along with his son Shane McMahon.
