Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd will file for divorce from her husband.

The 42-year-old television personality confirmed her split from Michael Dodd after 11 years of marriage in a statement Wednesday to Entertainment Tonight.

"It's sad, but a long time coming," she said. "[I] just want to be happy."

Dodd is vacationing in Munich, Germany, but plans to file for divorce after her return home. She said in an interview with The Daily Mail that there's no hope of reconciliation.

"Our marriage is over, I'm out of there!" Dodd said. "We've had problems for years and I've had enough. I'm done with our marriage.

"It's just a case where two people can't get along," she said. "It's best if we went our separate ways and concentrate on our daughter.

"We aren't good together, maybe we'll be better to each other when we are divorced and are friends. But right now we're both miserable and it's not good for either one of us, let alone our daughter," she said.

Dodd previously filed for divorce in 2012, and will now seek a bifurcated divorce, which allows the divorce to be finalized before the details are worked out. The star, who shares daughter Jolie with Michael Dodd, told ET in September she was willing to make it work with her husband.

"You never know what's going to happen in the future, but what I do want people to know is, it takes work," she said. "Relationships take work. I don't want to get divorced."
