CBS orders full season of 'Young Sheldon'

Sept. 28 (UPI) -- CBS says it has ordered a full season of its The Big Bang Theory prequel, Young Sheldon.

Co-starring Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord, the show has been seen by more than 17.2 million viewers since it premiered Monday night.

It features Iain Armitage as the brilliant child version of Jim Parsons' physicist character Sheldon.

Parsons narrates and executive produces the series, which is set in Texas.
