Returning for Season 2 are Kelsey Grammer as Blinky, Ron Perlman as Bular, Steven Yeun as Steve, Anjelica Huston as Queen Ursurna, Jonathan Hyde as Strickler, Amy Landecker as Barbara and Charlie Saxton as Toby.

The late Anton Yelchin will once again be featured in the lead role of Jim Lake, Jr. as he had completed recording through the show's second season before his death. Yelchin was 27 when he was run over by his own vehicle in his driveway in June 2016.

"DreamWorks Trollhunters features a tale of two fantastical worlds that collide in an epic saga," a synopsis for the series said. "Set in the fictional suburb of Arcadia, our unlikely hero, Jim, and his two best friends make a startling discovery that beneath their hometown lies a hidden battle between good trolls and bad, the outcome of which impacts their lives forever."
