Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Foo Fighters joined James Corden on the Late Late Show Wednesday to sing a number of their hit songs as part of Carpool Karaoke.

The segment featured the band and late night host singing and rocking out to songs such as "All My Life," "Best of You," "Learn to Fly," and new track, "The Sky Is a Neighborhood."

In between performances, frontman Dave Grohl and bassist Nate Mendel recalled the first time they played together. "Nirvana had just collapsed, so [my reaction to meeting Grohl] was awe," Mendel said before Rami Jaffee jokingly replied, "He's the guy from Nirvana?"

Corden then brought the Foo Fighters into Guitar Center to have a drum-off between Grohl, himself and the collective's drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

After losing, Corden and the Foo Fighters then got together to cover "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley with a rock twist.
