Maksim Chmerkovskiy previews 'DWTS' routine with Vanessa Lachey

Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Maksim Chmerkovskiy shared on Instagram Tuesday a video of himself practicing with his Dancing with the Stars partner Vanessa Lachey on a new ballroom dance routine.

"A snippet of what our Ballroom night is going to look like!" Chmerkovskiy captioned the clip that features himself rehearsing with Lachey inside a dance studio.

"I'm so proud of @vanessalachey for delivering a beautiful performance last night AND showing up today sore, but inspired and ready to do more! And more we did!" the dance pro continued about Lachey's performance during Monday's episode of DWTS.

"Huge thank you to everyone who voted for #teamBabiesAndBallroom and everyone who tuned in to make @dancingabc the biggest show of the night!"

Monday's episode featured the duo known as Team Babies and Ballroom, performing the cha cha to Kesha and the Dap-Kings Horn's track "Woman." The pair scored 21 out of 30 points placing them near the top.

Dancing with the Stars returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
