'Real Housewives' star LeeAnne Locken is engaged

The television personality has been dating Rich Emberlin for eight years.

Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Real Housewives of Dallas star LeeAnne Locken is engaged to be married.

The 50-year-old television personality said "yes" to boyfriend Rich Emberlin on Monday's episode of the Bravo series.

The show captured Emberlin proposing with a marquise diamond ring at the State Fair of Texas in September 2016. He presented Locken with the ring as a prize for winning a carnival game at the festival.

"I'm excited to finally be able to wear my ring," Locken said in an interview with Bravo's Daily Dish. "I've been engaged for a year, it's about time!"

"He did perfect," she gushed of Emberlin's choice of jewelry. "He nailed it. He knocked it out of the park. It was beyond my wildest dreams."

Locken showed off her engagement ring in a photo with Emberlin on Instagram following the episode.

"So happy to be able to finally wear my ring!!" she wrote. "THANK YOU for all of the sweet comments & tweets!!! I love every one of them!!! #engaged #happygirl #dallas #realhousewivesofdallas."

People reported Locken and Emberlin have been dating for eight years. Locken couldn't help but gush about Emberlin and their upcoming nuptials in the interview.

"Honestly, Rich surprises me every single time that he does something over-the-top, romantic and kind," the star said. "I'm always like, 'Wow your heart has such a huge capacity for love.' The whole thing really just blew me away. I'm incredibly lucky."

"We are looking at probably a summer wedding next year," she added. "I really don't want a huge wedding. I want something small and intimate."
