Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Larry David appears as comically irritable and impatient as always in this week's trailer for the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

"Larry David doesn't do it for him... he does it for you! Don't miss the Season 9 premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm on October 1 at 10 p.m., only on HBO," said a message accompanying the teaser.

Featuring Richard Lewis, Bryan Cranston, Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin and J.B. Smoove, the 90-second clip sees David telling a courtroom judge: "A grave injustice has been done here. We are no better than the beasts in the field. For I'm not doing this for me. I did it for you! And you! And you!"

Lewis tells him later in the footage, "You are devoid of anything that is remotely caring or empathetic," after which David yells "Shut up!" to a woman crying at a funeral.

David also berates an employee for skipping work for two days because she is constipated, pushes to the floor a woman who sprays him with cologne in a department store, argues with his therapist played by Cranston, tells a couple they aren't allowed to be happy near him and gets thrown off a bus.
