Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Former Pretty Little Liars actor Brandon Jones was sentenced to six months in jail Monday for pulling a gun on a neighbor during an argument

Jones, 29, pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of assault with a firearm, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a statement.

Jones was also given three years of probation after his jail sentence, 30 days of community labor and 26 anger management classes.

The sentence stems from an Oct. 30, 2015 incident in which Jones "exhibited a handgun during a dispute with a neighbor at his home," the prosecutor said. A few months later on March 24, 2016, Jones again pointed a gun at a neighbor during another dispute. It's not clear if the victim was the same neighbor.

Jones was originally facing felony charges with a potential sentence of more than five years in prison, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea deal, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Jones appeared in 12 episodes of Pretty Little Liars between 2013 and 2015 before the show aired its last episode on June 27. Jones has since appeared in episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Big Bang Theory and Doubt.
