Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Amy Schumer says she doesn't "deserve" equal pay with fellow comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. The 36-year-old actress and comedian shared a topless photo and a response Wednesday after a report claimed she insisted on making as much money as Rock and Chappelle for her Netflix stand-up comedy special.

"Hot dog dog. Thanks for chiming in on what you feel I deserve to be paid," Schumer said of backlash from fans. "I believe women deserve equal pay. However I don't believe I deserve equal pay to Chris and Dave. They are legends and 2 of the greatest comics of all time."
"I would like to say that I have been selling out arenas these last couple years," she qualified. "Something a female comic has never done. That's a big deal to me, especially because I know I do my best every night on stage for the audience and they have a good time."
"I didn't ask for the same as my friends. I did ask for more than the initial offer," the star clarified. "I will continue to work my [expletive] off and be the best performer I can be. The reports of me 'demanding' or 'insisting' on equal pay to them aren't true #fat #stealsjokes."
Variety reported Tuesday that Schumer "flatly asked for more money" from Netflix after learning she was paid less than Rock and Chappelle for her Leather Special, which premiered in March. Rock and Chappelle will release two and three specials, respectively, on Netflix this year.
Sources said Schumer was initially paid $11 million, while Rock and Chappelle received $20 million each. Schumer reportedly "received significantly more compensation" after she "raised the question of fairness," which some social media users scoffed at online.
"If @amyschumer wants to get paid like @DaveChappelle or @chrisrock she's gonna need to start stealing better jokes," one person tweeted.
"Dear @amyschumer: You being paid less on netflix than a man has nothing to do with sexism. The demand for your performance is less," another person added.
