Aug. 15 (UPI) -- The road to SummerSlam continued Monday on Raw as WWE set the stage for its signature August event that takes place Sunday.

In preparation for the big night, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar made one more apperance on Raw alongside his advocate Paul Heyman to meet face to face with each of his SummerSlam opponents.

Heyman made it clear again that himself and his client will leave WWE if Lesnar loses the Fatal 4-Way title match on Aug. 20 against Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe. Heyman said the match is a conspiracy by WWE to strip The Beast of his Universal Championship.

As Joe and Strowman made their cases as to why they will become the next Universal Champion, Lesnar was seen laughing off their remarks. Things got physical, however, when Reigns entered the ring and immediately speared Joe. It was then that the Monster Among Men took out Reigns with a Running Powerslam.

With just Lesnar and Strowman remaining, the two behemoths starred each other down before they were separated by security provided by Raw general manager Kurt Angle. When security was handily taken out, Raw Superstars started to pour from the locker room to maintain order. Despite the extra man-power, Strowman and Lesnar were still able to land a few wild punches.

Also on Raw, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose finally made their Shield reunion official as the former partners properly teamed up to fight off an ambush by Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro.

Before the duo came together, however, to share in a crow-pleasing Shield fist-bump, Rollins and Ambrose argued and even brawled as tensions spilled over.

Now reunited after working things out, Rollins and Ambrose will be challenging Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam.

Other moments from Raw included Sasha Banks defeating Nia Jax to earn the opportunity to challenge Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam; Elias attacking R-Truth; Big Cass, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacking Enzo Amore and Big Show; Akira Tozawa defeating Neville to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion; Bray Wyatt defeating Finn Balor with Balor being granted a rematch for SummerSlam; Mickie James defeating Emma; and Jason Jordan and The Hardy Boyz defeating Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his Mistourage after Jordan beat The Miz due to interference.
