Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Television personality Fredrik Eklund is going to be a dad to fraternal twins. The 40-year-old Million Dollar Listing New York star announced in an Instagram post Thursday that he's expecting a son and daughter with husband Derek Kaplan.

"We've been blessed two times over - we're six month pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl!" Eklund captioned a photo of himself and Kaplan kissing near the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
"It was important for us to take the time to keep the news for ourselves, but now we are ready to celebrate all the love," he wrote. "We thank you for supporting us in this journey and your well wishes.... We are finally going to be dads! Finally! #grateful."
Eklund and Kaplan married on Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys in 2013. The couple were previously expecting twins, but announced in September 2015 that their surrogate miscarried.
"I'm sad to share we've had a failed pregnancy. I have cried so much that I can't cry anymore. We were pregnant with twins but we're not anymore," Eklund said at the time.
"Our family is no different from yours... we just want to build our own unit of love in our own home. The last couple of days I couldn't take it anymore, to upkeep this perception of happiness and success," he confessed. "I've felt like a failure and that I'll never get to where I want to go: for me and Derek to finally become parents."
Eklund is known for Million Dollar Listing New York, which follows Eklund, Ryan Serhant and Steve Gold as they sell high-end properties. He will also star on a new Bravo series with Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel.
