July 27 (UPI) -- Comedian Mario Cantone is to make his first appearance as White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci on Thursday's episode of The President Show.

"The President Show has become the summer's hottest political satire destination," a press release from Comedy Central said. "Cantone joins an impressive cast of performers who have skewered politicians and Trump cronies, including executive producer Adam Pally as Donald Trump Jr., John Gemberling as Steve Bannon and James Adomian as Bernie Sanders."

The network earlier this week announced the extension of the Oval Office-set, mock talk show for an additional seven episodes for a total of 22. The series features Anthony Atamanuik as President Donald Trump and Peter Grosz as Vice President Mike Pence.

Alec Baldwin and Melissa McCarthy earned rave reviews earlier this year for their respective portrayals of Trump and former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on NBC's Saturday Night Live.
