July 21 (UPI) -- American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed the title for the seventh edition of his anthology series.

"AHS: CULT," Murphy tweeted Friday.

He announced earlier this week that Girls writer and star Lena Dunham would appear in the show, which is to start on the night of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, although winner Donald Trump and his opponent Hillary Clinton will not be characters played by actors on screen.

"Horror Story is always about allegory, so the election is allegory. It's our jumping off point. It is about the election we just went through and what happened on that night and the fallout of that night, which to many people, from all sides of the camps is a horror story. And you know, that show is always so fun when it's about the zeitgeist and what we're doing now," Murphy said in May.

Other previously announced cast members include Billy Lourd, Billy Eichorn, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Colton Haynes, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter and Cheyenne Jackson.
