July 11 (UPI) -- WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar had a target on his back Monday on Raw as both Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe demanded a title match against The Beast.

The trio of Superstars all met in the middle of the ring after Raw general manager Kurt Angle talked with Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman about the next opponent he will face at SummerSlam on Aug. 20.

Uninterested in matchmaking, Lesnar and Heyman proceeded to leave until Reigns' music hit. The Big Dog who was previously announced as the No. 1 contender, was berated by Angle for attempting to seriously injure Braun Strowman at Great Balls of Fire. Stating that he should be thanked for taking care of the Monster Among Men, Reigns said he deserved a shot against Lesnar who is never around to face Strowman himself.

Lesnar took the microphone away from Heyman and said Reigns didn't deserve anything. It was then that Joe entered the ring and said he deserves a second title shot after his performance against the champion.

"If you're really honest with yourself, you didn't beat me last night, YOU ESCAPED ME!" The Destroyer said to Lesnar in reference to how his fabled Coquina Clutch submission maneuver nearly put Lesnar out of commission.

To settle the ordeal, Angle then announced that Reigns and Joe would face each other next week on Raw to determine the true No. 1 contender.

Also on Raw, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had a mini Shield reunion when The Lunatic Fringe came to The Architect's aid as he was being ambushed by Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his Miztourage.

The Miz attacked Rollins after he lost to Bray Wyatt due to the WWE 2K18 cover star coming to Ambrose's aid earlier in the night during a segment of Miz TV. Ambrose fought off The Miz and his followers using a steel chair that was slammed against The A-Lister's back repeatedly.

Other moments from Raw included Big Show confronting Big Cass after Cass said no one could meet him eye-to-eye; Finn Balor defeating Elias Samson; Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeating The Hardy Boyz; Sasha Banks & Bayley defeating Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax; Goldust defeating R-Truth; and Akira Tozawa and Cedric Alexander defeating WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville and Noam Dar.
