June 30 (UPI) -- Celebrity couple Leighton Meester and Adam Brody laughed off their teen idol past in a rare interview this week.

The 37-year-old actor, who played Seth Cohen on The O.C., and 31-year-old actress, who portrayed Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, joked about having "Seth and Blair Day" once a year while speaking to Entertainment Tonight.

"Occasionally," Brody said when asked if he and Meester think about the fact that "Seth and Blair" ended up together. "Once a year we have a Seth and Blair day where we dress up. It's good for a laugh."

"It doesn't excite us, I think, because we're just human beings," Meester added. "But it's exciting to us that it's exciting to you. It's cool."

Brody and Meester met on the set of the 2011 movie The Oranges and married in 2014. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Arlo Day, in August 2015.

"I don't talk about Arlo very much," Meester told Refinery29 in March while promoting the Fox series Making History. "I am very proud of that area of my life. But I'm also really proud of the show, and of the work I do."

"I think the perception is: You're an ingenue, or you're an icon, or you're a mum," she added. "There's no in between."

Meester played Blair throughout Gossip Girl's six-season run on The CW from 2007 to 2012. She said in the April 6 issue of Rogue that she's much "different" now as a person and actress.

"I started Gossip Girl 10 years ago when I was 20, and I'm 30 now," the star explained. "I loved doing it, and now I'm doing something else that I love, and something new that's a little bit more my taste as a 30 year old, something I've grown into."
