June 6 (UPI) -- Paul Heyman, the advocate for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, confronted Samoa Joe Monday on Raw after The Destroyer became the No. 1 contender for the title Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Heyman entered the ring on Lesnar's behalf after Joe declared to the WWE Universe that he does not fear The Beast.

Heyman admitted to Joe that him winning the Fatal 5-Way Match Sunday against Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor to become the No. 1 contender was the "worst-case scenario" for his client, but that Lesnar will still be victorious July 9 at Great Balls of Fire.

After a handshake, Joe cornered Heyman and locked in his Coquina Clutch. The submission maneuver made Heyman pass out and need medical attention. Upon recovery, Heyman spoke to Lesnar on the phone and suggested that "it's time we unleash The Beast."

Joe would also go on to defeat Rollings in the main event of Raw with the Coquina Clutch following a distraction from Wyatt who had lost to Reigns earlier in the night.

Also on Raw, The Miz and his wife Maryse celebrated his victory at Extreme Rules against Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship. The party included champagne, balloons and a dancing bear mascot.

Paranoid that Ambrose was lurking nearby in disguise and was going to strike at any second, The Miz attacked the bear and smashed a giant present Maryse was presenting to The A-lister that turned out to be a "timeless" grandfather clock.

Upset that her present was ruined, Maryse ran to the back in disgust. It was then that Ambrose appeared in the ring dressed as a cameraman and planted The Miz with Dirty Deeds. The Lunatic Fringe then made his exit, taking The Miz's champagne with him.

Other moments from Raw included Ambrose attacking Elias Samson, Newly crowned Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus defeating Heath Slater and Rhyno, TJP defeating Mustafa Ali, Kalisto defeating Titus O' Neil, Enzo Amore and Big Show defeating Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson after Big Cass was mysteriously ambushed backstage and Alexa Bliss keeping her Raw Women's Championship from Nia Jax who won their match via disqualification.
