Vanessa Bayer bids farewell to 'Saturday Night Live' after seven years

May 21 (UPI) -- Longtime cast member Vanessa Bayer has appeared in her last episode of Saturday Night Live.

"Thank you SNL for 7 years of laughs, love and incredible memories. It has been a dream come true," Bayer said in an Instagram post.

Her surprise exit from SNL followed her co-star Bobby Moynihan's previously announced departure after nine years.

Bayer has recently appeared in the big-screen comedies Trainwreck and Office Christmas Party.

This weekend's edition of the sketch-comedy show was its Season 42 finale. It was hosted by Dwayne Johnson and featured a musical performance by Katy Perry. Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson and Alec Baldwin also appeared in the episode.

Thank you SNL for 7 years of laughs, love and incredible memories. It has been a dream come true. And thanks for this goodbye sketch at the table, Colin.
