Bobby Moynihan exiting 'Saturday Night Live' after 9 seasons

May 18 (UPI) -- Bobby Moynihan is departing Saturday Night Live after starring on the famed sketch comedy series for nine seasons.

Moynihan's final appearance on the show will take place this weekend for SNL's season finale which will feature host Dwayne Johnson and musical guest Katy Perry.

Moynihan's departure comes as his CBS pilot Me, Myself & I was picked up by CBS to air this fall, Deadline reported.

The comedy series examines one man's life over a 50-year span and features Moynihan playing the protagonist at age 40, according to Variety.

The 40-year-old is known on Saturday Night Live for impersonating Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, Snooki, Guy Fieri and Ted Cruz and for playing original characters such as Drunk Uncle and secondhand reporter Anthony Crispino.
