May 17 (UPI) -- David Boreanaz is set to star in a new military drama called SEAL Team, CBS confirmed Wednesday.

The show will debut on Wednesdays this fall. It "follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous missions," the network said in press notes.

"Thank you @CBS for the Seal order. I look forward to bringing the Team to all of you this fall," Boreanaz tweeted.

Boreanaz, 48, recently wrapped a 12-season run in the FOX series Bones. Before that he starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel.
