NBC renews 'Taken' for a second season

May 10 (UPI) -- NBC has confirmed it renewed its thriller Taken for a second season.

"He's got unfinished business. #Taken returns for Season 2 on @NBC," the network tweeted Tuesday.

From executive producer Luc Besson, the show is the origin story of former Green Beret turned CIA operative Bryan Mills.

Clive Standen plays the role on the series. Liam Neeson played an older version of the character in three Taken movies.

The show's cast also includes Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert and Jose Pablo Cantillo.
