Brandi Glanville says Kim Richards friendship is 'legit'

April 26 (UPI) -- Brandi Glanville says her friendship with Kim Richards is "legit."

The 44-year-old reality star denied speculation Wednesday that her camaraderie with her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star is for show.

"Well @KimRichards11 just came to my son's birthday party where there were no cameras & weve been friends years after the show. It's legit!" she tweeted.

Glanville was responding to a fan who wrote, "I don't think this friendship is legit r you trying to keep your hand in th BH cookie jar," after she defended Richards in the star's ongoing feud with Lisa Rinna.

"Why is @KimRichards11 giving back a BS gift in a cellophane wrapper worse than LR saying she is not sober & close to death on national TV??" she tweeted after Richards returned a gift to Rinna on Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 reunion.

Glanville and Richards appeared together on five seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The pair initially clashed on the Bravo series, but seem to have developed a friendship since Glanville left the show after Season 6.

"Kim's my neighbor, we live very close. I see her all the time," the star said in a Build Series interview in January. "She's doing really well and I'm really happy for her."
