March 31 (UPI) -- Victoria Beckham and James Corden paid tribute to the 1987 film Mannequin Thursday night on The Late Late Show with a skit that included a round of Carpool Karaoke.

"He was a talk show host and she was a mannequin who turned his world upside-down," a voiceover says.

The movie Mannequin, which starred Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall, is about an artist who creates a mannequin that comes to life. He can see her move and talk, but no one else can.

Like the movie, Corden and his mannequin find love, but, the voiceover says, "Their love wasn't meant for this world."

Beckham says that she wants to be with her own kind and Corden takes her to his car and turns on the radio. "Spice Up Your Life" starts and the host and former Spice Girl sing along for Carpool Karaoke.

The designer announced that she would make an appearance on Carpool Karaoke on Wednesday in a snap chat video.
