March 29 (UPI) -- Netflix says it has renewed Santa Clarita Diet, starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, for a second season.
Production on the cannibal comedy is to resume this summer. Fresh episodes are expected to begin streaming online in 2018.
"Joel and Sheila are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction... but in a good way," press notes said.
